Assembly of your wedding invitations:
With the invitation facing upwards place the tissue paper over the print area. Then place the reception card face up on top of the tissue paper. Place the response card in its’ envelope and make sure it has a postage stamp, then place it facing up on top of the reception card. Place all pieces into the large envelope facing up so that your guests see everything when they open the flap side. It is advisable to weigh your assembled invitation at the Post Office before adding your stamps. Some invitations require extra postage. Using a decorative stamp will add a beautiful finish.

Addressing your wedding invitations:
Your wedding invitations should be addressed by hand in black ink only. Nicknames or abbreviations should be avoided at all times with the exception for Mr., Mrs., etc. and military rank. This means all cities and states should be spelled out in full.

Two unmarried people living at the same address can be sent a single invitation. Write their names on separate lines in alphabetical order. In addressing medical doctors, military officers and clergymen, always use their titles in full.

Others:
It is not proper to send registry information with wedding invitations. If reception is at ceremony location it is acceptable to write “reception following” on invitation. The response date should be at least two weeks before your total head count is due.
